About V.I.G.
Originally founded in 1991, V.I.G. started out as a freelance source for sign shops.
Pinstriping, vinyl letter application, sign painting, airbrushing tailgates, motorcycles, vans, guitars and helmets were the stock in trade.

After getting married in 93 and tiring of the odd hours, Phil went corporate for a few years. He ended up in publishing doing graphic design, illustration, book covers and teaching software to his peers.

"One evening during a break, I discovered the temps were making three dollars an hour more than I was, so I quit. That was 1997 and I've never looked back."

–Phil Velikan

Eventually there will be pictures and such to go with this page.

I am a production person and always will be. That is rare.

Unlike most freelancers, I have no desire to be an art director.
I like the challenge of taking a marker comp or an old piece, rebuilding it onscreen and making something new and flawless.

If you need someone that does the job few care for and does it well without a complaint, someone that won't be second guessing you, and someone that is always happy to have a last minute deadline, call me. We'll get along just fine.

My clients for the most part are ad agencies and photographers in the Indianapolis area. Unfortunately the fact that a lot of businesses use me as an extra employee preclude me from posting a lot of my clients work.

I can reveal my clients but not their clients. So don't ask.
